Is it Safe to Fall For You?

  Hello, dear bookworms :)

I know I'm supposed to review books that are published and famous, but I've started writing a novel, and I think you should check it out.  It's published on goodreads and when it's finished I'll publish it on Wattpad.
Here's the link, by the way:

https://www.goodreads.com/story/show/368079-is-it-safe-to-fall-for-you

This isn't the definitive cover, but it's the actual one, I'll change it as soon as I get the other one.

City of Heavenly Fire

This was the question that stayed in my mind as I read the book. But now that I've finished it, I can say that I'm happy with the ending. I can't believe that this series is over though. Even though, as Cassie said, there were loads of deaths in this book, there were also lots of happy and funny moments, that made you smile no matter what. All the characters stayed as strong as I expected them to me, and when they introduced me to Emma Carstairs, I just loved her.

I'm not ready to say goodbye to this. I doubt I'll ever be. I'm just way too fond of this characters. I loved ALL of them, from all the series as well as The Infernal Devices. I'll miss Tessa, Brother Zachariah, my Jace, Clary, oh Clary, I just looked up to her too much, Isabelle, Simon, Alec, Magnus, Luke, Jocelyn, Emma, Julian, Ty, Helen, even Sebastian. I'm not ready to say goodbye, I'm sorry. *sobbing*

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Dear Charlie, you're one of the most sensitive friends I have ever had.

This book is about Charlie, a fifteen-year-old teenager who thinks a lot but doesn't 'participate' enough. He tells his story through letters where he addresses to a friend who is supposed to be the reader itself.

Charlie is a freshman.

And while he's not the biggest geek in the school, he is by no means popular. Shy, introspective, intelligent beyond his years yet socially awkward, he is a wallflower, caught between trying to live his life and trying to run from it.

Charlie is attempting to navigate his way through uncharted territory: the world of first dates and mix tapes, family dramas and new friends; the world of sex, drugs, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, when all one requires is that perfect song on that perfect drive to feel infinite. But he can't stay on the sideline forever. Standing on the fringes of life offers a unique perspective. But there comes a time to see what it looks like from the dance floor.

This book made me feel so many different feelings at once it surprised me. I didn't think I'd like this book, not even when I first started reading it, and now I can see how wrong I was.  What I liked most was feeling how Charlie was growing up, from a kid, to nearly a man and how harmful it can be. It also talks about friendship and moments in which they feel 'infinite' and make you laugh or smile. This is the kind of book in which they make you think about life, about how unfair it is sometimes, or how people are, but there were sometimes where it made you think how wonderful it is.

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a deeply affecting coming-of-age story that will spirit you back to those wild and poignant roller-coaster days known as growing up"

"I guess we are who we are for a lot of reasons. And maybe we'll never know most of them. But even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there".

Meant To Be

Meant To Be by Lauren Morrill

Dear Bookworms,
Last week, I read this book and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since then.

"Meant to be or not meant to be... that is the question". It's one thing to fall head over heels into a puddle of hazelnut coffee, and quite another to fall for the -gasp- wrong guy. Straight-A junior Julia maybe be accident prone, but she is queen of following rules and being prepared. That is why she keeps her pencil sharpener in her purse and a pocket Shakespeare in her, well, pocket. And that's also why she's chosen Mark Bixford, her childhood crush, as her MTB ("meant to be"). But this spring break, Julia's rules are about to get defenestrated (SAT word: to be thrown out of a window) when she's partnered with her personal nemesis, class-clown Jason, on a school trip to London.

What I thought about this book

I know that is sounds quite stupid, but one of the things I've liked most of this book is that Julia loves books. It just made me have a small connection with her when I was reading and that made me understand some of her strange reactions. In this book there's romance, sightseeing and delicious flirting, laughter, a little bit of sadness and some surprising plot twists to liven the story up. I know that you think you know how the book ends, but the fact is that you have NO IDEA, the end is so unexpected and so beautiful that makes you feel butterflies in your belly. I can't help but compare this book to Stephanie Perkins's , like Anna and The French Kiss or Lola and The Boy Next Door, and they are quite similar and so different and the same time, but if you loved her books, you will love this one.

Mythos Academy

The story of this amazing series starts with Gwen Frost, a Gypsy seventeen-year-old girl, who has the gift of psychometry, also called as the ability to know the whole object's story by touching it and, also, feel the feelings of the people, who touched the objects. But that's not always a good thing, because as well as she can read the people's good feelings and memories, she can also sense the bad things they've done or suffered, and that's not a pleasant thing to feel.
After a serious problem with her magic, she finds herself at Mythos Academy,  a school for descendants of  ancient warriors like Spartans,  Valkyries, Vikings, and more.  This kids are taught how to use their skills and magic against the Reapers of Chaos,  who are the bad guys who want to free their own god Loki, the god of Chaos, to reign the world. Gwen doesn't think that fight is hers, because she doesn't think she belongs there,  or that she's any kind of warrior, but she's wrong and
she's a lot stronger than she realizes.

My opinion:
I love Gwen, she's fierce, a heroine, what's not to love of her? The books feature lots of action, with some high stakes coming up occasionally. I definitely enjoyed reading the Mythos Academy books, and they're getting better, I'm currently reading the last one, Killer Frost, and I can say that is amazing, and it's been worth waiting for this book for so long. Then, there's Logan freaking Quinn, the incredible Spartan who everybody, me at least, loves. I can't thank enough Jennifer Estep for this amazing series.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones

The Mortal Instruments is a series written by Cassandra Clare. The first book, which came into a movie last year, is about Clary Fray, a seemingly ordinary fifteen-year-old teenager, discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother, Clary joins forces with a group of Shadowhunters who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York City called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves, fairies and other deadly creatures.
My opinion:
Well, I read this book last year, and I would have never imagined that I would have liked it THAT much, and when I started reading it I thought I was right,  but then I realised that I was completely wrong, I loved the plot, the characters, I love them all, Clary, Jace, Alec, Simon... I really like the love scenes, and, well, EVERYTHING. After reading this book, I really wanted to be a shadow hunter, having a parabatai and all that stuff. I really recommend it, and here's the movie's trailer:
